If you want visit Chiang Mai, the largest city in the north Thailand and the capital of Chiang Mai province, don’t forget to buy some authentic souvenirs maybe you can’t find in other cities. These places are our recommendation:
Warorot Market
Local always called “Kad Luang” is the most famous central market in Chiang Mai. Has almost everything you need. Food, clothes, souvenirs, till kitchen sink, we promise you will find all sorts of these in this market. Spend a lot of time to walking around this market.
Operating hours start on 9 am till 6 pm, but there are evening food vendors on the outside from 6 pm – 10 pm. To get this market, you just chill walk from your guesthouse if you stay around Old City area.
Sunday Night Market
This market is only on Sundays starting from 5pm, begin from Tha Phae Gate and runs along the road through the heart of the Old City. This market full with handmade crafts, delicious street food, live music, and traditional Thai performances.
